English Language Courses
Our English Language School is situated on our main campus and provides a range of specialist and flexible language courses all of which are accredited by the British Council. Courses for beginners through to advanced level students are available in mixed language groups. The English Language School is also a member of English UK.
English as a Foreign Language (EFL)
1 month to 1 year Full-time
EFL courses are designed to help you improve your general English Language skills and focus on all aspects of language learning including, reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Students can start their EFL studies at the beginning of every term and study 16.5 hours per week on a full-time course. The average class size is 15 students.
Students take a simple placement test upon arrival to identify their current level of English and are then placed into the appropriate level class. There are 5 levels of English Language Skills for Life qualifications available, including Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2. Students have the chance to take their Cambridge Skills for Life examinations in December, March and June each year. All students have regular tutorials as part of their EFL course.

Cambridge Suite of Examinations
Courses available are the Key English Test (KET), Preliminary English Test (PET), First Certificate(FCE), Advanced Certificate (CAE) and the Certificate of Proficiency (CPE). These courses are subject to minimum numbers.
IELTS Workshops
For those students wishing to progress onto University courses, IELTS workshops are available at College with examinations available externally. These workshops are subject to minimum numbers.

EFL Plus
1 Year Full-time
Students are able to combine their EFL study with other academic and vocational subjects offered at the College. Popular EFL Plus courses include EFL Plus Business, EFL Plus Travel and Tourism and EFL Plus Computing.
EFL Support
Students studying full-time courses at the College are able to get additional English language support throughout the year.
