Getting to Huddersfield
It is recommended that you travel to Manchester International Airport, which has quick and direct rail, coach and motorway links to Huddersfield.
Even if you fly into one of the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or London City) you would still be advised to book a connecting flight to Manchester as this will save you on the cost of the train travel, cut down on the overall travel time and avoid costly overnight accommodation in London. It will also reduce the stress of your journey.
Once you arrive in Manchester there are a couple of options available to get you to Huddersfield:
- There is a direct rail link from the airport to Huddersfield train station. This journey will cost you approximately 12 and can be booked once you arrive in Manchester. From Huddersfield train station you can arrange to meet a representative from the College or you can take a taxi to your accommodation.
- Kirklees College can arrange for you to be met at Manchester Airport by a local taxi company who will then take you directly to your accommodation. This journey costs approximately 40. Please complete our Arrival Notification Form and return it to the International Office so that we can arrange for you to be met.
Before you start your journey please make sure that you know the contact details for your accommodation and The Kirklees College International Office, so that you can contact them during your journey.
